AREA HIGH SCHOOL PROM SHOWS

JOHN CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL, BelAir, MD

Held at their Gym

703 E Churchville Road
Bel Air, MD 21014

(If you want to see how to do your own school event,  John Carroll PTSA has put on their fashion shows for a number of years and have lots of experience.  They do a phenomenal job, and you can see how they are able to produce a great show and SILENT AUCTIONS.  They raise alot of money from their event, especially from the silent auction. The only problem with their show is that it is held in March and the designers have stopped cutting new gowns by then. Shows should be held between November and January to maximize show success. Stores give gift certificates and silent auction certificates at the show. Most girls try to buy their gowns in December and January for best selection, so show timing is important.)

Your School can Benefit too. We would like to help you do a Fashion Show at your School! When we do,WE WILL DONATE $10.00 of every gown that is reserved w/a deposit OR  paid for before your show, or purchased within 2 weeks after your show. You can use our donation toward your school's Prom Event, After Prom Party, or your schools Scholarship Fund. YOU COULD SAVE MONEY for your Prom Tickets or whatever you would like to use the donation of money for!  Last year C. Milton Wright, and North Harford benefited.

    a. )  MODELS - You will select models from your school.  All Models will receive $25.00 OFF THEIR GOWN or 25% if they choose the gown they modeled for the show.  Buy your gown before the show - we will order your choice/perfect gown if it is not already in our store so you can model that gown at your school's fashion show.  Or purchase the modeled gown within two weeks after your show.

b.)  STORES - Ask - Area businesses who work with Prom such as Limo, Florist, Tux, Hair, Makeup, Nails, etc. One of each is appropriate.  We have professional business men & women we work with that are eager to help your school make it a success!  Or you can choose professional area businesses.  The key is to make sure they have great professional business ethics and do a fabulous job with & for their clients.

c.)  DONATIONS - Silent Auctions are a great fund raiser to add to your Prom Show.  Start way ahead and get a committee together.  Don't forget your parents help.  The parents involved in PTA, & teachers are a wonderful resource/contact, as well as your classmates.  Get donations from area businesses closest to your school.  They are more likely willing to help you with your show.  Gift Certificates for dinner, spa, health club, movies, are wonderful, and some gift shops will donate giftware.

d.) A LITTLE SOMETHING SPECIAL - You might like to have a "TEA" complete with scones, devonshire cream, fruit, and tea sandwiches.  North Harford High had a dinner at the beginning of their showlast year and this year they are having a tea.  Bel Air High had a tea at the end of their show last year and doing the same again, which are both a big hit.  Or make your Prom/Fashion Show Theme your food theme as well.  Ex: Tropical, or Hawaiian Theme Prom: During your intermission, or end of your show - have a chocolate fountain or fondue with fruit, small sandwiches, and a tropical punch and some other special foods if you like.  Charge separately for entrance into the food room so that if they do not want to participate, they do not have to, or make it the entrance fee to the show & food.  What ever works best for your school.

**** The Fashion Show Offer applies to Baltimore area, Harford & Cecil County, Newark, DE and area schools - approx. 40 mile radius to Aberdeen, Maryland.
