About Pizazz Wedding Boutique
Brenda J. Davenport, owner of Pizazz started her business out of her home in January of 1990 designing marketing materials for businesses throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware. By 1994 she started developing her Bridal business and it was full steam ahead from then on. By 1997 her home looked like a bridal boutique, with many Wedding Albums and Accessories for the Bride & Groom to choose from. So, it was time to find just the right place to put all those gorgeous wedding accessories in a lovely retail setting.
February 1999 she put a deposit to hold the building. Her husband, Jerry helped her everyday to get the store ready for its opening on April 1, 1999 -- April Fools Day! And her Grand Opening was May 1 -- which turned out to be "May Day."
October 2004, Pizazz remodeled to make room for more gowns and plenty of room for large Bridal Parties, or Girlfriends Night Out Prom Shopping, to feel comfortable. The lovely Bridal Dressing Room was huge, and three other dressing rooms available.
On June 30, 2019, after serving brides for20+ years, we moved to Abingdon, serving our brides, grooms, their family and friends, and all who are looking for formalwear by providing more customized and personalized services. I now offer our services in your home if you would like and can accommodate more days & times at area schools for our Tuxedo Fundraiser Program.
AFTER 20 YEARS
The modern bride and groom of today has little time to get their group together and run all over town looking for the right dress or tuxedo. So we have made it easier and more fun!
For the bride, mothers and bridesmaids instead of you traveling all over to select your gown, I will come to you on a day you select, and help you try on gowns with your troupe. This way you can take all the time you need, won't be interrupted by another party in the shop or taking longer than scheduled. Relax and enjoy your experience. Have a party and make it a fun experience. The gown you choose will be easy! You'll have your besties, privacy and a fun time. You now have your dream gown!
For the groom and his men, have a day of it! Get your guys together, relax and enjoy. We will come over, measure everyone, and you and your men will try on pants, shirt and jacket for fitting and you are done. I will meet you and your bride ahead of time to choose the tuxedo or suit and colors you are looking for. When the tuxedo/suit comes in, I will deliver for fittings and pick up after your wedding at the place you designate. Usually at Parents or Best Man home or if your Honeymoon is scheduled later we will come to your home for pickup.
CUSTOMER SERVICE IS "THE" MOST IMPORTANT part of ANY business.
Brenda takes the time to listen, always greets you with a smile, a bubbly attitude, and creates a pleasant atmosphere for you to shop. She does what ever it takes to make you happy and feel comfortable in making your decision.
When we part, you feel like you have met another friend, because that is the way you are treated. The customers who she spends the most amount of time with, becomes her friend. After all, when you start with a wedding gown, your mens tuxedos/suits, your accessories, veil, tiara, jewelry, etc, bridesmaids gowns, mothers and grandmothers and sometimes even godmothers, you develop a friendship. And many times they came for their proms. Special relationships build.
PIZAZZ has customers from NC, NJ, NY, VA, and D.C., the Eastern Shore, PA and DE. People drive 3 hours or more to come to PIZAZZ because Brenda took the time to talk to them on the phone or called them back with the answers to their questions. It is amazing, but then, God is amazing because HE has directed those people to her for some reason. Its a God thing! That is how she feels.
Brenda tries to meet the needs of all her clients. No hour is ever too early or too late. Brenda will work around your schedule. Now how is that for customer service!
God has Blessed her with a sensitive heart, focusing on others, and treating everyone with the utmost respect .
The scripture that reflects her feeling is 1Peter 4: 10
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's Grace in its various forms."
